Surveys (Fair Housing Public Opinion Survey & Demographic Survey)

The Fair Housing Public Opinion Survey will be administered to area residents through a series of outreach canvassing efforts, as well as, made available through an on-line survey instrument, which can be found here. The survey is intended to address question of housing equity, while gathering regional opinion on general housing concerns.

The Demographic Survey instrument adds detail to the US Census' Demographics, with an emphasis on fair housing concerns. By implementing this randomized research element we will be able to have a better understanding of our regional housing and the demographic profile of those it houses.

Focus Groups (Lenders/Development Community, Students/Renters & Employers)

Focus groups will bring together regional interest groups to investigate fair housing concerns in the diverse groups that come to make up the Flint Hills. By investigating each group's concerns, a deeper level of understanding can be researched and analyzed for better strategies and more pertinent solutions.

Stakeholder Interviews (Government and Housing Officials)

Individual stakeholder interviews will be conducted throughout the region to help the FHRC understand barriers to housing in a more in-depth manner. The canvassing of these officials, most intimate with the day-to-day issues surrounding housing in the region, will help complete the picture being derived through the other survey instruments and data collection research.
