Flint Hills Region FHEA & RAI

The Flint Hills Region:
The seven-county region of the north-central Flint Hills is comprised of one of the nation's fastest growing Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA), in Geary, Pottawatomie and Riley counties, along with Chase, Lyon, Morris and Wabaunsee counties. The rural regions of Kansas and the nation continue to decline in population and economic vitality, while the Metropolitan areas urbanize and consolidate services and activities. The Flint Hills Region at the 2010 Census held a population of 176,537, a 9.7% increase since 2000.
